"The Grunt of Tripods"

What's new with the Gen 2?  We doubled the strength of the leg stop shims, and updated the leg locks to be user adjustable. The new leg locks are stronger and increase the load rating to 34 lbs. All other features will remain the same. 

*PIG0311-G shooting tripod is sold as the tripod legs alone. A Saddle or ball head would be an additional purchase.*

The PIG0311-G Field Shooting Tripod is based off of the budget friendly and capable SLIK DX700 PRO tripod. We partnered up with SLIK, and started putting together several prototypes with beefed up specs, tighter tolerances, and shooter specific features. After 8 months of testing , we came up with the PIG0311 Field Shooting Tripod. During testing, we used several .50 caliber rifles (Barrett M107 & McMillan Tac50) with great results from officer feedback and reported repeatable shot placement. Being unsure of what kind of garage cannon that might be placed on the tripod itself, we decided on a conservative 34 pound load rating. The PIG0311-G was designed for the active outdoorsman; meant to get dirty, thrown in trucks, and used outside often. Paired with a direct mounted HOG Saddle® or PIG Saddle®, this shooting tripod can do almost anything a more expensive tripod kit can do, but at a fraction of the cost.

    super robust and under-rated

    I’ve only had this tri-pod for a few months, and I knew since I opened the package that it was going to be awesome. I’ve have a bunch of tripods before, even ones that were more expensive and nor did they feel as Sturdy. I use mine mostly for Photography, but I’ve been know to attach my .338 and my 45-70 rifles to this tripod using the pig saddle, and without any problems, I’ve been able to hit the target for 5-609 yards with no problem.

    My only draw back is the carry bag. I wish they had one that was more durable. Maybe a 600D polyester material. But that’s for another review. The tripod is fantastic. So a word of advice, DONT BUY THIS TRIPOD UNLESS YOU WANT THE BEST ON ON THE MARKET FOR THE PRICE!

    As sturdy as it gets for the weight. Have not shot the rifle off it yet but have used it a bunch with spotting scope at classes, matches and just shooting. When hang shooting bag from it can call shots in any but the strongest winds. Very well made.

    Not too often are my expectations for a product or service exceeded but I have to say this is one of the rare instances where i was more than pleased. The materials, tolerances, and attention to detail in these really surprised me. I agree that the 26lb load rating is probably very conservative. This thing is solid! I mounted a Sunwayfoto DB-52 ball head and a Pig Saddle to it and cant wait to see what its capable of.

    Super Solid Tripod!!!

    I am super happy with the 0311 Tripod! It's really sturdy and rugged. It seems like it will last until the end of time. I bought the 0311 along with the Hog Saddle and the FB52 ball head to use in PRS competition, and maybe some predator hunting. The fit and finish is very high quality, and I'm glad to know that it was designed by a sniper for snipers! Also very impressed with the weight capacity, my rifle weighs somewhere between 15-20lbs and this setup holds it with ease! As a veteran myself I'm happy to be supporting a veteran-owned company!

    I own two other competitor products. I know what I am looking for in future tripod uses. This product has taken the best of all tripods and put them in to one very affordable product! Well done Josh!!!!

    It is my second tripod I ordered from HOGSADDLE.com. The first one was paired to my spotting scope. I knew it will perform the same. I will recommend to everyone I know that are PRS shooter. Once again, thank you!

    Great Tripod

    I am very impressed with this tripod. It is very stable and feels like I could stand on it. The finish is flawless and looks sexy AF. It is easy to operate the leg locks and the weight is not a problem, just strap it to the pack and roll out. I bought this to put my spotting scope on and it is a fantastic tool. I think the bag it came with was a waste of effort, but it does come with a bag if you need one. It also comes with metal spike feet which can be swapped with the installed rubber ones if you need them and a hook for hanging ballast below the center for added stabilization. I would recommend it to anyone.
