    My 7 year-old gets quality trigger time on his pellet gun, an Airforce PCP .25 cal. He stacks pellets at 50 yds on AR steels, and goes bonkers when he hits the painted center dot. Daddy does not have to worry about gun being dropped or getting muzzle swept. Urethane pads are just soft enough to gently muscle the gun around for taking aim when roughed in with the ball head. A Pig Saddle, beefy ball head, and the Slik-mod tripod makes a great shooting kit for the beginning youth shooter. As has been mentioned by the ShadowTech folks, a Pig Saddle can be considered a piece of safety equipment for this purpose. I agree. The quality of build here is just awesome, worthy of handing down to the kid when he grows up.

    Built like a tank

    Super solid. Used to clamp 12# rifle in place for night hunting. I couldn't find tune to get the rifle to "float" hands free dead on a particular target, but I could get it pretty close. I thought this was a negative, but it actually is a result of the urethane padding, which allows for minor adjustments in the elevation with a sort of increased resistance with increase in change. I can't explain it the best, but it made for a comfortable, easy, and super accurate night hunting session
