The GNN FB-52 is the strongest model of the FB series. It's easy to carry, operate, and provides customers with a stable and smooth user experience. The FB-52 is machined from T6061 aerospace grade aluminum alloy and finished with an OD Green Type 3 Hard Anodizing. Compared with other models of the same series, the GNN FB-52 has the largest ball joint diameter for extended service life. By machining off the neck of the ball head (creating the GNN series), this reduces damaging stress/leverage to internal parts, increases stability, and allows for 22° of elevation adjustment. Approximately 46° of total vertical travel.

    Fits right on my tripod. Pig saddle fits right on it with the provided plate.

    best ball head in the market, it’s a must have. These guys definitely know what there doing. It locks everything in a rock solid position without having to use “channel locks”, great product!!.

    This is not my first rodeo with professional grade gear.... One of my biggest complaints of this sort of gear is they pack so much "functionality" into them that they become impractical and and unwieldly in the field. And in high pressure shoots or active moving situations to complex to functionally use. This unit is just not that type of unit. It is simple.... straight forward, rock solid, locks as it should, how it should, and when it should, and unlocks in like manner. The ability to quickly attach and remove a firearm or any piece of equipment is essential to me and is a deal breaker for most heads i have used. this simple twist knob is just that... simple.... i prefer the knob over a quick release in these situations most times due to to the difficulty of operation with quick release in adverse conditions, its dark, or when gloves are in use. Highly recommend this unit for many reasons and thankful for the money spend.

    My PRS rig is heavy, 24 lbs. This ball head handled the load without issue.
